Cooking class at Whole Foods

I am excited to be back at whole foods teaching another cooking class this week. I really love their program because it makes learning how to cook affordable to everyone. I volunteer my time and whole foods provides the food and the amazing high tec class rooms at their mega store on the bowery. In the end, you get a class and a full meal for less then 18 bucks. Cant beat that in NYC :-) check it out Whole foods classes

Chef, event planner, food trend consultant, food journalist, cookbook author … when i try to explain what I do during the day it has a tendency to get complicated and I end up sounding like that show United States of Tara. Well its about to get more complicated, now I am adding blogger to the list. ELLE Magazine Sweden recently asked me to move this blog to their website, and I of course said Yes. After a few weeks of fine tuning, I am both nervous and excited to announce that its up and running. Please check it out on linnea.elle.se

I will still update this website with work related news, but for recipes, behind-the-scenes, food trends, inspiration, pictures and all that other good stuff check out elle.se

Asian Soul Food

I just got back from traveling thru Asia for the past week. Was in Asia for a little work, and lots of relaxing. While on the trip I of course had to eat everything I could get my hands on. This food tour was only halted by a bit of the stomach flu after getting a little to adventurous with a squid curry dish.

I traveled thru Koh Lanta and the Malacca Strait to multiple little islands. Food was pretty basic on the islands, keeping to curry and fresh veggies. On Klong Nin beach however, I found the most amazing little French place called Shanti Shanti which had some of the best croissants I have ever had. On the same beach you can also find Blue Moon which is run by a Thai man with a giant Afro and serves straight up curry’s and classic Thai dishes. Grab a beer (yes he lets you go get your own drink), eat on the beach and stay forever!
