My “Glögg” recipe in Dagens Industri

Swedes know how to celebrate the holidays, and one thing that cant go with out is the hot spiced wine “Glögg”. Here is my take on it

Linnea’s Glögg
1 bottle red zinfandel
3 cloves
1 inch piece of ginger
1 star anis
5 cardamon pods
4 cinnamon sticks
1 2 inch piece of orange peel
1/4 cup of vodka
1/2 cup Cherry Heering
1/2 cup suger

-Mix the spices with the vodka, and let it sit for at least 12h.
-When ready to serve heat the redwine, spiced vodka, and sugar.
-Remove from the heat and ad the cherry heering, and serve.

Serve in small cups with raisins and almonds in. Holiday spirit guaranteed!
