Linnea describes the drink as “sweet, flirty and fun” and says it’s a big hit when she has friends over. It can even be made ahead of time. “If you make it the day before,” she says, “it can just sit and hang out and then be served up almost like a punch.” Getting thirsty? Here’s the recipe if you’d like to make a batch at home:
1 1/2 oz Fresh lemon juice
1 oz Simple syrup
1 Bar spoon of strawberry puree (optional)
“Take the recipe and quantify it by how many guests you’re expecting,” advises Linnea. “Then you make it in a big batch. And you have all the muddled strawberries and lemon and all that in there.” After shaking with ice, strain into sugar-rimmed cocktail glasses.
If you’re feeling extra frisky this coming Monday and would like to make the drink even more romantic, Linnea suggests topping the drink with rose petals, that way, it “screams” Valentine’s Day. Yum, yum, yum!
